Punto Door Handle Sticking

The speaker grill has to come off followed by the speaker3 pozi screws then the door pull 3 torx screws then the 5screws along the bottom of the door card and up the side.

Open the door and squirt graphite powder into the key lock. Turn the handle of the doorknob to expose the bolt. Rear passenger door gets stuck and won t open from the outside. You should first test the door latch to ensure the latch is sticking inside the door and not due to a misaligned strike plate.

The hold open washer sometimes binds causing the door to remain partially open. You then have to carefully remove the foam liner. The door latch is not extended before rotating the knob. More force is needed to turn the knob and unstick the latch.

A sticking door latch might require some lubrication or it might be jamming against the strike plate on the door jamb. Rear passenger door gets stuck.
